…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana…
Illinois…
Wabash River at Lafayette down to Riverton.
.Lowland flooding will continue along the Wabash River this week.
The crest is near Terre Haute…but will not reach Vincennes until
this weekend. Minor flooding should end by this weekend on the upper
Wabash…but is expected to continue into early next week on parts
of the middle and lower Wabash. Dry weather is expected into
Thursday.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…Wabash River at Covington.
* WHEN…Until early Saturday afternoon.
* IMPACTS…At 20.0 feet, A few county roads begin to flood. Higher
bottomlands begin to flood. The first cottage upstream from U.S.
136 bridge may become isolated by high water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 10:45 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 20.0 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:45 AM EDT Tuesday was 20.8 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Saturday morning and continue falling and remain below
flood stage.
– Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

Instructions
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Those with interests along area rivers should monitor for forecast
updates through the weekend.
