Thinking About Becoming a Pine Village Fire Fighter

It takes a lot of time and commitment to be a volunteer firefighter. A volunteer firefighter has the same certifications to maintain as a career firefighter, the difference is that career firefighter train on the job during their paid shift. Volunteers have jobs that are usually not fire related and have to train on their own time outside of their normal job, making it harder to find the time to train, but train we must, to keep our certifications and our skills up so we can maintain our proficiencies in our skill sets. If you do not have any of the requirements below, that’s ok, we will train you, but you have to be willing to put in the time it takes to meet the training requirements and become certified. If after reading the articles below and feel that you will be a useful addition to our department, please feel free to click on the button at the bottom of the page and download the application to join the Pine Village Community Fire Department.
